Andrew Ripp

“He sounded great...like a mix between Ray LaMontagne and someone else I can’t quite put my finger on. He was excellent...” - Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine)

This story begins in the suburbs of Chicago, when a 15-yr old Andrew Ripp picked up the guitar and found his voice. Four years later, he packed his bags for Los Angeles and with nothing but all-natural musical ability, started his adventure as a self-made singer/songwriter. Ripp has since penned a Top 40 Billboard hit and shared the stage with celebrated artists such as Ben Harper, Jon Foreman (Switchfoot), and B-Real (Cypress Hill).

With hard work and a talent that is instantly recognizable, Ripp has managed to become one of the most inspiring and exciting young musicians to watch out for. And when he isn’t in the studio or on the road, Ripp shares his passion for helping others at Art of Elysium, a charity that gives artists the ability to brighten the lives of hospitalized children by sharing their gifts.

Ripp’s much anticipated debut album is set to drop in 2008. Independently produced by Dan Lavery ('Tonic' and Bass for 'The Fray') and Randy Coleman ('Coleman', 'Zoo Story), the album features collaborations from drummer Pete Maloney (Dishwalla, Tonic), keyboard player Will Hollis (Eagles), and Eric Haywood (Ray Lamontagne) on steel guitar. A long time coming, this album contains Ripp’s heart and soul, captures his contagious energy and is bound to amaze fans and attract many, many more.
